KAU President lays foundation stones for new facilities at Faculty of Maritime Studies

The foundation stones for new facilities at the Faculty of Maritime Studies was laid by KAU President, Prof Osama S. Tayyeb, on Wednesday, 3rd April 2013 in the presence of KAU vice presidents.

Prof Tayyeb said the establishment of new facilities at the Faculty of Maritime Studies was in line with a policy of meeting international standards and enabling the students to have a conducive atmosphere of learning and research

The faculty consists of four departments: Hydrographic Survey, Nautical Science, Ports and Marine Transportation, and Marine Engineering, according to Dr Salem M. Al-Harbi, the faculty's dean.  

An exhibition staged on the sidelines of the event was also opened by Prof Tayyeb.
 
At the end of the event, a souvenir was presented to Prof Tayyeb by Dr Al-Harbi on the occasion.
