participation of Maritime studies at International Conference on the Marine Environment of the Red Sea

 

 

Faculty of Maritime studies participated at International Conference on the Marine Environment of the Red Sea 2016 ICMERS that was held at Thuwal in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through research work delivered by Dr. V.R. SHAMJI and Dr. Vineesh T. Chacko.

Dr Shamji and Dr Vineesh presented poster work on Tidal Analysis at Red Sea and explained its important in field of navigation and Hydrographic Data Processing. And they recommended maritime navigators should be aware about tide, especially ports, harbor, nearshore navigations.

The aim of the KAUST Research Conference: International Conference on the Marine Environment of the Red Sea is to share knowledge, stimulate debate, encourage new thinking, and develop a regional Red Sea research map that generates new networks and partnerships going forward. And lay the foundation for scientific representation within international frameworks, for which Red Sea nations are signatories.

During the conference there were six keynote speakers from the USA, Australia and Saudi Arabia will cover research in the region as well as best practices internationally
