Fifth: Graduate Studies Unit:

This unit is responsible for graduate studies programs and their development through supervision, follow-up and coordination with scientific departments in accordance with university policies and regulations and providing academic support and services to graduate students.

 

Vision of the Graduate Studies Unit:

Pioneering and high-quality postgraduate studies.

 

Mission of the Graduate Studies Unit:

Providing an excellent environment to create and develop pioneering and specialized graduate studies programs in academic departments that comply with advanced knowledge development.

 

Tasks of the Graduate Studies Unit:

  • Providing the necessary support to supervisors and graduate students.
  • Encouragements to improve the quality of graduate students' research.
  • Developing the skills and knowledge of graduate students.
  • Providing recommendations that improve the performance of graduate studies programs.
  • Receiving students' files applying for postgraduate studies, registering materials, preparing and coordinating schedules and exams.
  • Managing requests for postponement and exclusion from study and additive deletions.
  • Activating the role of academic advising for graduate students.
  • Coordinating and managing master's thesis defense oral examination.
  • Preparing a periodic report at the end of each semester on the unit and submitting it to the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.
