Abstract	:	The watercoordinated ErIII atom in the title compound, [Er(C5H4N3O2)3(H 2O)2]·4H2O, is N,O-chelated by three 3-aminopyrazine-2-carboxylate ions and has a squareantiprismatic geometry. The mononuclear molecule interacts with the solvent water molecules to generate a threedimensional hydrogenbonded network.
