This research aims to study the trip of (Spectrum's Thought in the Winter and Summer trip) by Lisan Al-Din Al-Khatib; a text study in the light of the text science criteria (: Cohesion, Coherence, purposiveness, intertextuality, pragmatics, informing, receptivity).
As text science contacts with Literary Communication Theory, so I divided text criteria according to the communicative work pillars:
1- Product (writer), where I will talk about purposiveness and formative vision of the creator.
2- Message (text), and I will describe the text according to formulation and plot criteria.
3- Text- surrounding circumstances including (intertextuality, informing, and pragmatics)
4- Recipient and reading strategy.
The study consisted of five chapters: Chapter One included a theoretical study of the concept of text science. The rest of the chapters were an application of the text criteria on the travel text, initiating with a preface meant by the concept of trip literature as a literary text.
Lastly, I concluded to a set of results, most notably was that the trip text is a narrative literary text can be studied textually that reveals its coherence and cohesion of its parts |
